Project Photographer Support
Blue Earth is an organization founded by photographers to help photographers. We provide our sponsored project photographers with fiscal agency, grant writing support, public relations and media outreach, advice, and mentorship throughout the life of the project.

Direct Support

501(c)(3) Status

Using Blue Earth's 501(c)(3) status, you can apply for grants and to accept tax-deductible donations from individuals. It also allows you to accept matching donations from companies that offer them.

Mary Virginia Swanson Consultation

Mary Virginia Swanson, a well-regarded professional photography consultant, will give you 2 hours of free consultation time (a $600 value).

Google Checkout / PayPal Button

Blue Earth will give you the HTML code to include a donation button on your website. Blue Earth pays any processing fees and will administer your funds.

Use Of Blue Earth Mailing List

You can use our mailing list where appropriate to send out information about your project, including events, book publication, etc.

Communications

Blue Earth Web Site

Your project—with 10 images, a project description, and your bio—will be published on our web site. We will include any updates/news from your project in our news section.

Projects Book

Each current project is given a double-page spread in our Projects Book (1 image plus text), and each past project is given a short blurb (a few have images included). These books are given to Blue Earth members, members of the press, potential funders, and other friends of Blue Earth.

Blue Earth Materials (brochure, etc)

Your work may be included in our brochures. You are welcome (and strongly encouraged) to bring brochures to your events.

Newsletter / Blog

Updates from your project, including upcoming shows, upcoming press, awards, grants, and events, will be included in our e-newsletter and on the blog. You are encouraged to write guest posts for the Blue Earth blog.

Group Shows

Blue Earth has periodical group shows for which you will be considered for inclusion.

Lecture Appearances

Blue Earth periodically organizes public lectures; you will be considered to present your project to a wider audience.
